How thick are Lumigraf backsplashes?

Backsplashes are available in two standard thicknesses, ¼ inch and 1/2 inch.

How are the edges finished?

Backsplash panel edges are buffed to a smooth finish with a slight bevel; for an extra charge, edges can be polished to a high gloss.

Lumigraf backsplashes and accent tiles can be cut using a standard bench saw, with the following precautions:
- ALWAYS cut with the panel FACE DOWN
- if available, a blade suited to acrylic should be used
- NEVER remove the protective cover before cutting, always after

How do I screw on my Lumigraf backsplash?

To screw your Lumigraf backsplash to a wall, you must first drill holes in the panel. Holes must ALWAYS be drilled from the BACK of the backsplash. When installing the backsplash, make sure not to over-tighten the screws, or you may crack the acrylic.

How do I clean my Lumigraf backsplash?

In most cases, your Lumigraf backsplash can be cleaned with just warm water and a soft cloth - if you use soap, use a mild, non-abrasive type such as dish soap. NEVER use a scouring agent, as it will permanently cloud your backsplash.

How durable are Lumigraf backsplashes?

Lumigraf backsplashes are extremely durable and, properly maintained, will last the life of your kitchen. Over years of use, slight scuffing and some teeny scratches on the high-gloss finish may occur. Prolonged, direct exposure to intense heat (heat source that directly touches the backsplash) is obviously not recommended and will leave heat distortion marks.
