Lumigraf™ takes seriously its responsibility to ecologically dispose of the waste resulting from the manufacture of its plastic resin products.
We attempt to reduce, reuse and recycle materials wherever possible, and are always looking for new ways to “greenify” our operations.
To this end, we:
- Recycle all paper, cardboard, plastic, wood, glass and metal that result from office and manufacturing operations - these items are picked up and taken to recycling centers less than 4 kilometers from our facilities
- Ensure that our products, sample packs and packaging are as lightweight as possible, minimizing the consumption of fossil fuels and costs involved in shipping
- Offer faux-mineral finishes like marble and alabaster - excavation of genuine marble is highly pollutant, and the weight of the material means expensive transport costs; faux-finishes offer a first-rate design equivalent without the pollution or shipping expense. Each year, 35,000 containers of marble stone are imported from around the world, just for Canada and United States architectural purposes.
- Require our suppliers to supply products with 45% post-consumer recycled content
- Package our products with residual wood not usable for construction, thereby recycling materials that would otherwise be thrown away
- Maximize our space - Lumigraf's entire operation is contained within one perfectly functional building, with no wasted space
- Advertise using the fewest possible natural resources - we prefer to make ourselves known through the paper-free magic of the internet, and through our fantastic portfolio of satisfied clients!
